It was all fun, fair and more at the first Indian Canine Upliftment Centre (ICUC) Pet Fair organised recently at Canine Elite’s extensive grounds in Mehrauli in New Delhi, hosting dogs of various breeds and sizes alongside their pet parents. On the showcase at the fair were an array of merchandise items, including dog beds and baskets, grooming tools, medications and cupcakes with paw design (for human consumption), dog booties, canine clothing, a range of beautiful soaps, a pet bakery (or ‘barkery’!), among many others. Reputed vets were also available on site for consultation and luxury grooming services from Scoopy Scrub were on offer.

There was a beautiful art exhibition containing works by artists keen to support the good work of (ICUC). A black and white image of a little boy with his dog on a city street really caught everyone’s eyeballs. Inevitably, yet another attraction at the fair was the adoption drive organised for desi breeds. “One way or another, this event is surely one for a Delhi pet lover’s calendar. Look out for the next edition in a year’s time,” said Sonya Kochhar Apicella, Founder, Canine Elite & ICUC.

ICUC is a registered animal welfare organisation dedicated to the care of the homeless, abandoned, and escued dogs and cats across Delhi and NCR. Meanwhile, Canine Elite is a premium dog boarding establishment and cattery in Delhi. For further details, write in at:
