Inspiring tails !

Our pooches have loved and inspired us in many different ways – they offer companionship to the lonesome, comfort to the sick, hope to the disabled, besides giving love to all the lives they touch in their course of life. Their loyalty, unconditional love and companionship inspire a to be a good human being.
While there doesn’t need to be a specific day to show love and pay tribute to our pooches, it would be a good idea to do something worthwhile for them on this World Animal Day. Come October 4, and people all over the world will celebrate animal life in all its forms. It started in 1931 at a convention of ecologists in Florence as a way of highlighting the plight of endangered species. October 4 was chosen as World Animal Day as it is the Feast Day of St Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals. Let’s all come together and show our love and respect to all animals. Let’s do something special to highlight the importance of animals in this world. Start an animal love club, feed the stray animals, do anything which pleases you and helps an animal in need.
Kudos to DLF who has opened a state-of-the-art pet hospital in Gurgaon and Dr RT Sharma who has started a ‘pet crematorium’ in Delhi.
Besides, the Indian calendar is full of festivals the coming month. Though festivals are a great way to have fun and enjoy, please do take care that you don’t hurt the pooches unknowingly. If you like crackers, use noise-free ones as the noise from crackers can put a lot of strain on pets. Do not feed table scraps and delicacies to your pets as it can be dangerous to their health. Give your pets a lot of love and care and ensure that they are safe during this time.
Sparkle is wagging his tail at the mere mention of festivals. While he also doesn’t like crackers but he is happy to be indoors with his family to take care of him during this time. And he loves the fiesta and gaiety during that time.
