Treat – a vacation
Last month we saw our parents packing their travel bags and soon realised that it was not them who were going out of town, but it was us who were heading for a vacation to Mangaon.  It was a 3-hour drive in an air-conditioned car. The journey was fine, we made several stops to sniff around the fields, drink water and bark at all the animals we passed on the roads.  We were tired at the end of it all.
We finally reached our destination and were very excited to get out of the car and run about freely in our aunt’s garden and laze around the lawns. We were tired so we took our dinner and went to sleep early.
Next morning Aunty took us out on a long walk. The area was really spread out and there were many trees around the place. And then we noticed a pond. I (Ginger) couldn’t resist and quickly jumped in. My daughter Pepsi was scared initially but soon she too joined in. We swam and lazed in the pool and we followed this routine for the next 10 days. It was simply awesome.
Our daily routine started with an early morning work, breakfast, grooming, lazing around in the sun, an afternoon nap and then these long walks in the fields and along the canal in the evenings.  The days passed quickly and soon we were on the journey back home.  Mom has promised to take us back there and we are really looking forward to it.
