Pet Practitioners Association of Twin Cities in association with WSAVA – CE (World Small Animal Veterinary Association – Continuous Education) recently organised 3rd National Symposium on Companion Animal Practice from 26-27 November 2011 in Hyderabad. Pedigree, the leading pet food brand of Mars India, actively supported the event. This Symposium consisted of lectures and discussions involving leading small animal exper t s from India and abroad. The invited speakers for the programme were Dr Justin Lee, Diplomat, American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care and Dr Terry King, Veterinary Specialist Services, Emergency and Critical Care, Australia. The symposium focused on key aspects of intensive and emergency care for pets in India. The event was attended by more than 200 vets across India.
Dr Praveen Kumar and Dr Lakshmi, leading pet practitioners and members of PPAT said, “One of the key objectives of PPAT is to bring the latest knowledge on pet care to the veterinarians in Hyderabad. We believe that these knowledge-based programmes will help us offer better clinical services to the pet owners and alleviate their pets’ problems at an early stage.”
