Pedigree – the leading pet food brand of MARS International India in co-operation with Waltham Pet Centre – the world’s leading authority on pet care and nutrition, organised the 11th Waltham leading Veterinary Workshop focusing on clinical radiology on 5th & 6th February 2012 in New Delhi. The two-day mega event aimed to update small animal veterinarians across India on new findings in the field of veterinary radiology.
The workshop organised under MARS India initiative of MARS Continuing Veterinary Professional Development (MCVPD) was led by Dr Michael Bailey, BS, DVM Diplomat, American College of Veterinary Radiology, Medical Specialist; Lead Radiologist, Banfield Pet Hospital, USA. Day one of the workshop included lectures on techniques including MRI. And day two included lectures and hands-on training on interpretations of radiographs and other imaging techniques.
Chairing the workshop, Dr Michael Bailey said, “This yet another edition of MCVPD for small animal veterinarians is to assist them with professional developments. The session is not merely based on theories; but is based on the live examples from our practice. Our aim here is to discuss the latest techniques in radiology/imaging and problems faced by veterinarians in the field. We have come together to find out solutions to the problems that we or any of us have ever faced in this field.” The workshop was in Mumbai on 8th & 9th February and then in Bengaluru on 11th & 12th February.
