  • Never let your dog sit in your lap.
  • Don’t let your dog sit in the front seat as he can distract the driver by climbing onto his lap or might interfere with easy access to gear/brakes.
  • The front passenger seat has airbag and your dog can be injured in case of any mishap.
  • Use a crate or pet carrier for your pooch.
  • Secure the crate so that it cannot flip forward in case of sudden stop.
  • If there is no space for crate, use a dog seat belt available at pet stores.
  • Install a pet barrier to keep the dog in the back seat.
  • If you use a leash, it should be long enough to let the pet sit, stand or lie down.
  • Always keep the windows up.
  • Use air-conditioner in summers to avoid heatstroke.
  • How cute it may look, never allow your dog to peep out of the window.
