Bollywood actress Disha Patani, the brand ambassador of Drools, met the teamfrom the company at Taj Lands End in Mumbai. Inspite of pandemicimpact, the pet segment has grown and the event highlighted the successful journey of Drools and their vision to reach out to more pets and pet parents.
Pet mom to four pets and Drools brand ambassador Disha Patani said, “Drools is a brand I really like because I feel they genuinely care for animals and pets. As a pet mother I really trust them, their food is not only nutritious but tasty too. I feed my pets Drools and they love it. My pets feel healthy and I am really glad to be a part of it. Drools also stands for a cause and helps animals—that’s a way showing they care and giving back to the society. Give your pets lots of love, be patient and outcome of their love to you is phenomenal. I will like to thank Mr Fahim Sultan for his vision in creating Drools—a brand that cares.”

As honourable chief guests, Dr Saurabh Shekhar, Managing Director, South Asia Nutreco and Dr Pankaj Lohan, Vice President, Vvaan Lifesciences Pvt Ltd, graced the event with their knowledge and expertise. Dr Saurabh said that Drools’ journey had been inspiring and the Indian pet market is going to progress in the next five years. He added, “Earlier the estimations were of 25 to 27 percent, but the pandemic has changed the perspective. Now the growth is estimated to be 37 percent for the overall category and pet food is growing substantially higher.” Dr Saurabh felt the full credit must go to pet parents and companies working for the wellness of pets. In his remark, Dr Pankaj said that the team is doing a fantastic job and they should keep getting more and more pets and consumers in the category.

Dr Shashank Sinha, National Sales Director, Drools asserted, “We are proud of being an Indian brand and also second leading pet food brand in India in terms of value and volume. But our challenging part is to change the food habit and our team is continuously striving hard and working 24×7 toward this goal.” He further added, “Drools has got the pet food as FMCG across the country. We have Kareena Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Disha Patani as our brand ambassadors to promote the same. Happy to say we are the biggest brand in Sri Lanka with the largest market share in the pet food category. We are targeting UAE, Saudi Arabia and hopefully in the next three months Drools will be launched in Australia.” It has been the dedicated effort of the team under the guidance of Mr Fahim Sultan who is the source of inspiration and energy to take Drools to new levels. “We are vocal for local. We are ‘Made in India’ and we say ‘Make in India’ and we are ready to make a difference in calorie conversion, benefits of parenting a pet and overall wellbeing and wellness of our pets. USP of Drools is that we use only real chicken, no by-products,” said Dr Shashank conclusively.

Dr Hitesh Swali, a leading veterinarian, said competition has been taken to another level under the flagship of Drools. “We are trying to convince the pet parents about the benefits of pet food,” he added. In this respect, Dr Shashank Kamble from Planet Animal Hospital (Thane) emphasises that pet parents should feed their pets hypoallergenic food from Drools for allergy-related issues as he feels it is a food of quality and helps in solving skin problems.

The event marked a donation of 250 kg of food by Drools to Yoda Foundation.
