Scottish splendour

A perfect blend of british sense of decorum and american sense of self-confidence!

A wonderful discovery
Scottish Folds were discovered in Scotland in 1961. The original Scottish Fold was a white longhair female named Suzie… Suzie went on to be bred to British shorthairs in the UK and her offspring made it around the world to be used in Scottish Fold breeding programmes. Many different breeds were used to expand the gene poll in early years from Persians, American Shorthairs, Exotic Shorthairs, even Burmese–to achieve the round sweet look of the Scottish Folds we see and have grown to love today. So, what started as a barn cat has developed into a round beautiful, family lap cat who has a wonderful temperament.

We are beautiful!
Scottish Folds are medium-sized cats with a thick tail and a sweet pixie type of expression. They have round faces, round eyes, round bodies and not to forget those cute little folded ears that fold forward. Scottish Folds come in all colours, both in long hair and short hair.
We are good tempered!
Sweet-tempered and attentive, Scottish Folds are devoted kitties, they
are not demanding and are not very vocal.
We are healthy!
Scottish Folds are extremely healthy cats.
