Paws and Parsis in synch at PawZYNG

ZYNG has been associated with the Zoroastrian youth since 2009. It has successfully managed to connect the youth of today with the rich Parsi heritage and supported hundreds of events since its inception. They have always aimed to bring the community closer together especially for the age group of 15 – 40 years. And when talking about connections, how can we forget our furry friends? We all know that our pets are considered as much a part of our families as our children.

Celebrating ‘Paw’fect harmony

On the 25th of February, 2024, ZYNG 2.0 hosted a Pet Fest called “PawZYNG” that was sponsored by ‘Bowlers’, the title sponsors, and ‘Zorabian Foods’ at the Sir Ness Wadia Memorial Pavilion, Rustom Baug. In keeping with the Parsi tradition of “Khavanu, Peevanu ne Majha Karvanu”, PawZYNG pulled off an amazing show. There was plenty of delicious food, treats, drinks and fun and games for everyone and their pets. PawZYNG organised this fest in a manner that both pet and pet parents could participate in everything as a duo and enjoy quality time together.

Furries and their gleeful gala

Weeks of planning finally paid off. The expansive Rustom Baug Pavilion was meticulously arranged and cordoned off so that every pet enjoyed their space and many could participate in the events at the same time. There was a splash pool, an agility area to challenge the skills of pets and their parents together, portrait drawing, face painting and a lot more! There were stalls that sold pet food, toys, homemade meals, treats, etc and stalls where you could explore pet friendly camping options for your next weekend trip outdoors. There were lots of exciting activities and a much-awaited fashion show which saw more than 40 participants. Our four-legged fashionistas strutted their stuff in the cutest and most endearing outfits.

ZYNG truly put together a stupendous event and their efforts must be applauded. A special thanks to Ruby and Behram Aderbad for capturing this event so wonderfully.
