Lizaa and her Love
-Emma
Meet Lizaa Malik, a renowned singer and a dog-mom! She is known for her songs and is a passionate pet parent. She shares her journey with Emma – her adorable fur baby!
Once a pet lover, always a pet lover
I have always had pets and been an animal lover! My first pets were two cute pure white Spitz and we named them Bunty and Babli (from the famous film). Over the years I have had 5 pets – a pair of Spitz, a Husky, a rabbit, and a cocker spaniel – Sherry (she is 15 years old now). And now I have Emma, my 1.5-year-old Shih Tzu.
A gift that means the world to us
Emma was my husband’s birthday gift! Although now I hate to use the word gift for her. When she came into our life, we had our set rules and I wanted her to fit in. But she truly was God sent. She came and conquered not just our home, but our hearts. She broke all rules and boundaries, so much so both my houses are in her name now.
Connections beyond words
Emma and I have regular play times and she loves it. She also loves to go on drives and even watches movies with me. The love that she has given is unreal. I believe that she is a human soul and is connected with me I guess from my past life.
She is a total mom’s child and is obsessed with me! And I am happy to admit that the feeling is mutual.
Emma and her travel tales
Talking about vacations – Emma is a priority passenger of Air India and the social media face of the airline. In the last 18 months, she has done over 15 flights, 6 train journeys, and unlimited car trips. We love exploring new places and when we have our furry friend as our travel companion, it becomes all the more fun. She has travelled within the country till now and hasn’t taken any foreign trips! But we are hoping that also happens soon…
Nurturing Bliss: Emma’s jurney of love, nutrition, and play
She accompanies me for my shoot with her nanny so that she is well taken care of. At home, we make sure that her play sessions have activities for her mental well-being as well. I take care of her diet and see to it that she gets nutritious meals.
Responsible pet parenting with love and care
I believe that you should only bring a fur child home if you can nurture them as your biological child. Do not get them for your children’s fun or as society’s status symbol. Love them equally when they are growing old like your own grandparents or parents! They aren’t any toy that you can abandon at your own will.
It is a full-time responsibility, but the love and affection that you get in return is unmatched!
