Sharing Paediatric Protocols: Royal Canin joins hands with WSAVA and FSAPAI

For advancing veterinary care in the country, the Continued Professional Development Program on Companion Animal Practice, a regional conference for the veterinary ecosystem in Chennai, was lent support by the Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Shri Thiru Udhayanidhi Stalin who inaugurated the conference. The 21st WSAVA CE INDIA and 14th National Symposium 2024 organized by the Federation of Small Animals Practitioners’ Association, India (FSAPAI) and hosted by the Small Animal Practitioner Association of Tamil Nadu (SAPAC TN) engaged 800 veterinary clinicians and students to elevate expertise in small animal paediatrics, oncology, and avian surgery & medicine. In its collaboration to advance paediatric veterinary care in the country.

Satinder Singh, General Manager, Royal Canin, said, “Professional development in the veterinary ecosystem is crucial for advancing pet healthcare standards. Through our collaboration with WSAVA and FSAPAI, we are facilitating knowledge exchange and providing practical tools that support veterinarians in delivering enhanced care, particularly during pets’ critical early life stages.”

Dr. Makrand Chavan, WSAVA India Representative highlighted the national conference as a key initiative to enhance veterinary expertise in India, offering practical tools and guidance in paediatric care, small animal oncology, and avian surgery and medicine.

Dr. Jayaprakash, President of FSAPAI, emphasized the value of collaborating with Royal Canin to enhance veterinary care, particularly in paediatrics. The three-day Chennai conference combined international expertise with local needs through focused sessions and interactive quizzes, equipping veterinary professionals with both theoretical and practical skills for improved daily practice.
