Animal Carnival 2009
The K9 Klub (For Dog Lovers), an organisation that seeks to promote fun social gatherings for dog lovers and owners, was back with a spanking new event after a gap of almost 18 months.
The Animal Carnival 2009, probably the first event of its kind in Mumbai, was held on April 26, 2009 at Chembur. Loosely based on the concept of an animal fair, the carnival was open not only to pet dogs but to all kinds of legally accepted pets. The theme of the event was ‘Live and Let Live’. There were about 65 entries from all over Mumbai.
Games at the event included ‘greedy owner dog & contest’ or ‘like owner like dog contest’ where both the pet and owner devoured on ice cream competing with each other as well as with their other contestants with the condition of the owner eating out of a bowl like their doggy companion without using hands.
Dr Deepa Katyal, CEO of the club along with her team organised the grand animal carnival. A fun-filled feasting event for our furry friends!
