Non-confident canines require very gentle training and lots of patience from their pet parents. One of the most common causes of such problems is a lack of socialisation at young age. However, with the help of a qualified obedience instructor or dog behaviourist, its possible to correct this problem. This process will also require you and your family to make changes in the way you interact with your dog as well. Identify situations and environments that your pet will need to be comfortable with, meeting the people on road, having contact with the children/pets next door, walking along the street, to name just a few.
