Look who is going to be the first cat to be sculptured at Madame Tussauds! That’s none other than the internet’s most popular Grumpy Cat, who’s loved by millions world over, regardless of her grumpy mood.

From famous warlords to film stars, sport personalities and many others from different fields or walks of life are immortalised in wax models at Madame Tussuads museums. Among the latest entries into the league of eminent figures is Grumpy Cat, a globally admired feline, who will be sculptured as an animatronic wax statue later this year at Madame Tussauds, San Francisco. Animatronic technology will make the statue to purr, close her eyes and dozing off.

Tabatha Bundesen, who lives in Arizona, is pet parent of Grumpy Cat. Her brother took the photo of the cat and posted on Reddit on 22nd September 2012. The photo instantly went viral and gained popularity worldwide. The fame of the kitty eventually enabled Tabatha quit her waitress job as she earned around $100 million from the cat’s paid appearances, modelling, book deals and more within a span of two years. Grumpy Cat is a mixed breed and she has brother named Pokey.

Recently an official video of Grumpy Cat going through a body measurement process by the Madame Tussauds team for the creation of the wax model was posted on You Tube. The so-called ‘grumpy facial expression’ of the three-year-old cat is not of ‘anger’ in real. It’s resulted due to an underbite and feline dwarfism.
