Be the one to make the change —if you are going to be a first-time pet parent or a pet parent looking for an addition to your paw family do consider adopting our great Indie dog. What makes them special? In spite of all the hardships they have endured they do continuously give love, all they need is a loving family, food, love, companionship. If you give one a home you change the direction of the dog’s life by giving him/her safety, security, love and preventing so many unwanted puppies who will go through a similar turmoil.

The stray dog population is rising and causing big concerns in certain areas. It is time for government agencies, corporate, welfare organisations to come together to think of a solution which can help in solving the problems. The problems are enormous and vaccinations, sterilisations, wounded animals, territorial aggression, etc. The Ministry of Animal Husbandry has submitted draft rules which will replace the existing ones from 2001. It proposes a monitoring committee to control the increasing population of stray dogs via animal birth control measures. With the new rules in place they are hoping to resolve conflicts in many areas such as RWA with people who feed the stray population etc. There have been very sad incidents of attacks—this is a matter of grave concern and should be addressed immediately.

And here’s welcoming Nova with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his wife Akshata Murty. Nova is a fox red Labrador Retriever puppy who was welcomed into the Sunak family in June 2021. He becomes Britain’s top dog from his predecessor, Dilyn, who was adopted by Boris and his wife, Carrie. Sunak reportedly adopted Nova after his daughters, Krishna and Anoushka, fell in love with Dilyn, a scruffy Jack Russell cross. The well-behaved Lab joined the Prime Minister, as they encouraged members of the public to support the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.
