With every wag, every nudge, every moment of trust, Zeni didn’t just enter a life — she reshaped it. She opened up a heart that didn’t even know it needed opening.
This story is dedicated to my father and her daughter, Zeni! A bond like no other. My father was fighting COVID, and his condition got very serious. We decided to admit him to the hospital, and everyone was worried. We called the ambulance; the ambulance is waiting outside the house, and my mother says, ‘Let’s go to the hospital’. But my father’s eyes were searching for Zeni. Zeni knew my father’s condition. She ran and got into the ambulance and just cuddled him.
The Healing Power of a Dog’s Love
We noticed that it was Zeni’s way of saying that nothing will happen to you, and you’ll be fine. My father got emotional. Call it magic or our biggest blessing, but after a few days, he recovered very well. As soon as he came home, he wanted to meet Zeni and thank her for all her love and blessings. He spends most of the time with Zeni. She loves to show her naughtiness and cuteness like a baby. We still think that she is a little princess. We are so grateful that Zeni came into our lives. Before having Zeni, my father didn’t like dogs, but now his perspective has totally changed. He not only loves Zeni, but the community dogs as well.
Zeni is living proof of how deeply a dog can change your life. She took someone once strict, guarded, and practical… and gently transformed them into a person who feels, loves, and understands animals in a way they never imagined.
