Intas Pharma wins Global Excellence Award

Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd, one of the fastest growing Indian Pharma companies in domestic market, has won the Animal Pharm Global Excellence Awards for the year 2007, for unique initiatives pitched in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). This global accolade assumes very special significance, as the Neovet also commemorates its 10th anniversary of presence in animal healthcare, informed Vijay Teng (vice-president, Neovet). The award has been presented by prestigious international agency on World Animal Health and Nutrition- Animal Pharm, to celebrate innovation and to reward excellence, in the animal health care sector.

The award has been conferred on Intas based on four activity spheres, viz, POLIVET Journal, Neomec Project Shiksha, taking animal health care to farmer’s doorstep and recognizing the outstanding contribution of veterinarians, which has benefited the animal wealth of country and associated human resource in the last 10 years.

 

Vetnex spreads awareness

Vetnex, under its nationwide programme called Cisaflux Awareness Programme (CAP) for pet lovers, organised camps at various locations across the country. Since external parasites pose great danger to pets and their family members, Vetnex aims through these activities to increase awareness about harmful effects of external parasites, environmental control measures to reduce parasite infestations and proper usage and precautions to be taken while using anti-parasitic products. WSAVA conference at Australia

The pet lovers in Australia got a unique opportunity to witness a mega event in Australia for the first time after 20 years while the ASAVA (Australian Small Animal Veterinary Association), a member – association of the WSAVA conducted the world congress. The event was conducted in the Sydney Convention Centre in Darling Harbour from 19-23 August 2007and was attended by leading Indian veterinarians.

 

Petcare hosts a technical update symposium in association with SAPAC

Petcare, in association with SAPAC (Small Animals Practitioners Association of Chennai), conducted a technical update symposium on September 9, 2007 in Chennai. Almost 40 prominent veterinarian doctors met to deliberate on issues pertaining to Canine Health and Nutrition. 

Perspectives on Canine Nutrition were presented by Dr. Latha Mani (Petcare) and Dr. Balakrishnan. Dr. AV Krishnan (president), Dr. Balakrishnan and Dr. R. Jayaprakash (SAPAC secretary) were felicitated on the occasion. Thereafter, the floor was thrown open for discussion/debate. The evening ended with a vote of thanks from both partners. This marks the beginning of more forums and events wherein important industry-specific issues and perspectives will gain prominence.

National symposium on companion canine practice

PPAM and WSAVA, in association with Small Animal Veterinary Association of Delhi (SAVA), is organizing a ‘National symposium on companion animal practice 2007’ on December 1-2, 2007 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The symposium theme on the first day will be ‘Advances in companion animal practice anesthesia.’ The programme will be conducted in three sessions and each session will comprise of two lectures.
